    Legal Landmines in Employment Screening                       60 minutes    

    Employment screening that is conducted by a third-party consumer reporting agency (CRA) is regulated by a federal law called the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In the last few years, US trial attorneys have realized that FCRA violations can be found at many employers. As a result, the number of FCRA based class action lawsuits has increased by 500%. In this session, we will examine common FCRA violations that can lead to litigation and potential class-action lawsuits.
